Who information is shared with

IONOS provides the hosting, email and domain services used to operate the business and deliver client services. Information may also be disclosed to professional advisers or authorities where necessary for advice or to meet legal obligations.

Domain registration can require registrant details to be provided to a registrar or registry. Information is shared for the relevant service rather than for unrelated advertising.

Service providers and international processing

Website hosting, email and domain registration are provided through IONOS. IONOS processes information needed to provide those services, including website requests, emails and domain registration details. Its processing arrangements depend on the service used; see IONOS’s privacy notice.

Domain registration details may also be processed by the relevant domain registry. The registry and processing location depend on the domain extension. Google Fonts is provided by Google and can involve processing outside the UK. You can contact me for further information about the providers and processing arrangements relevant to your enquiry or service.

How long information is kept

Enquiry information is kept for as long as needed to respond, deal with follow-up questions and establish whether a project will proceed. Client and project information is kept for the duration of the working relationship and afterwards where needed for support, accounting obligations or resolving disputes.

The appropriate period depends on the purpose, legal requirements and whether there is an ongoing need to retain the information. Information is reviewed for deletion or anonymisation when it is no longer needed.

Cookies and website services

Cookies are small files stored on your device. This site includes a cookie preference tool, which may use cookies to remember your choices. Browser settings also let you manage or delete cookies, although blocking essential cookies may affect some functions.

This site uses the CookieYes | GDPR Cookie Consent plugin to manage cookie choices. Its preference cookies record whether you have interacted with the notice and the choices you make. You can manage cookies through the cookie notice when available, or delete the site’s cookies in your browser to reset stored choices.

I do not use Google Analytics or advertising tracking on this website. Essential technologies may still be used for security, site operation and recording cookie preferences. Cookies requiring consent should not be set unless you accept them.

The site currently requests fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser requests these files, Google receives technical information such as your IP address and request details. See Google’s privacy policy. This is separate from Google Analytics.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access your personal information, correct it, request deletion, restrict processing or receive it in a portable format.

You can object to processing based on legitimate interests, including any direct marketing. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time. These rights have conditions and exceptions; for example, some information may need to be retained to meet legal obligations.

To make a request, contact steve@simpul.co.uk. I may need to confirm your identity before providing personal information.
