STEVE · INDEPENDENT WEB DESIGNER · LANCASTER
Websites since 1998. Working for myself for around five years. Still keeping it simpul.
THE PERSON BEHIND SIMPUL.
I’m Steve. I design and build WordPress websites for businesses and work alongside agencies that need an experienced designer.
Before starting simpul, I spent years working for design companies in the local area, on projects for local businesses and well-known UK brands. That experience shapes how I work today, from understanding a brief to getting the finished website online.
What I like about working independently is the direct connection with the people I’m designing for. When you get in touch, you speak to the person doing the work.
KEEP IT SIMPUL.
You might have a detailed brief, an existing website that needs a rethink or an idea you haven’t quite pinned down. We can work through it together.
I’ll help find the direction, design the pages and build the site in WordPress, with clear communication along the way.
THE SIMPUL. APPROACH
Direct contact throughout. We can discuss the ideas, ask questions and make decisions together, without passing the brief between different people.
I’ll design a homepage for you to review before building the rest. It gives us a clear starting point and the chance to get the look and feel right.
The design should help people understand your business and find what they need. We’ll focus on what your project calls for, with a quote based on that scope.
WHAT I DO TODAY
My background covers web and graphic design. These days, most of my work is designing and building WordPress websites, for my own customers and for other agencies.
FOR BUSINESSES
I work with business owners who want a website that feels right for what they do. I handle the design and build, and can also help with hosting, domain registration and moving an existing website.
WordPress lets you edit your own content once the site is complete. We can cover the updates you want to make yourself.
FOR AGENCIES
I also design and build websites for agencies, taking projects from an initial brief through to completion. That can mean help with a particular project or regular support.
I work regularly with Just Elevate ↗, providing WordPress design and build support.
A FULL BRIEF OR JUST AN IDEA?
Tell me about your business or the project you need a hand with. We’ll work out the next step together.
